It's Amy.
So glad I got to attend Uncle Marvin's funeral. A sad occasion, but also joyful--we know he is with Aunt Shirley and it was great to see and visit with cousins and other family. It was a very nice service and good to think about Uncle Marvin--such a sweet and thoughtful man--and the good example he was and is to us.
Last spring when my dad and I spent a few days at Uncle Marvin's home with him was such a delightful time. I thought no one could tell a more roundabout story than my dad, but Uncle Marvin could!
I got a few cousin pictures at the funeral. I really wanted to post one of us when we were little to compare, of course Ron and Don look just the same--except for hair color--they are still cool boys! But I looked through all my family albums and could not find one. Feel free to post one anyone!
In case you don't recognize us: Ron, Shirla, Natalie, Amy, Valery, Andy, Don in back, Lissie in front, Nikki, and Eric.
Put this one in because it's the best one of me.
Howard, Wilma, Bob.
After the funeral dinner--and I would like to say that it was proper funeral food (ham, salad, and funeral potatoes with lots of kinds of cake), I got to attend the Salt Lake temple with my mom and dad. That was sweet too. I am a new enough temple attender, that I am still very excited to be in the Salt Lake temple. Of course, I love our own Twin Falls temple best.
Then we went to see the lights on temple square.
Blurry, but documented proof we were there!
Everything worked out so we could have that nice time together. Uncle Marvin was always thoughtful like that!
